Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Accountant on a temporary 1099 basis to assist with nonprofit financial transactions and monthly close processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in standard accounting software preferably Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities:

•       Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including booking revenue and expense transactions.
•       Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
•       Prepare journal entries for daily, weekly, and monthly transactions.
•       Organize receipts and business expenses to maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.
•       Manage and maintain nonprofit-specific items related to grants and donations.
•       Assist with tracking and reporting requests.
•       Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and relevant tax laws and regulations.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
• Experience with reconciling bank accounts.  
• Proficiency with accounting software, particularly Sage Intacct.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial documents.
